: A symmetrical robot defined by my wife as "A heck of a lot of time and money to spend on something that does nothing but twitch every few seconds." This is why there are so few women BEAMers. 8^D
Symet 1 was my first ever BEAM robot, built from the
Solarbotics parts bundle that I bought myself for Christmas in 2000.It uses a 1381 solar engine and is a pretty simple and ordinary little thing, but I was thrilled with it!
And that started me on a three year (so far, as of Jan 2004) interest in BEAM robotics
Oddly enough, I didn't build another symet for 37 months….and may never build another!
