The SunChimes were part of the Bubblebots series, where I was exploring uses for the little plastic acorn-shaped bubbles from the local Wal-Mart vending machines.

They are basically an upside down flag-waver with a striker that rings suspended chimes. In fact, the earliest version, "Whirligig", is clearly a flag-waver, but is included here because it was the first sun-activated chime in this series.

SunChimes won 1^st place at the 2003 WCRG in the Art & Innovation category.
